FVC Solutions has joined NFON as a Business Platinum Partner, establishing a partnership built on technical experience, a shared interest in practical business communications and a commitment to understanding what customers actually need.
For FVC Solutions, the decision to work with NFON was not simply about adding a supplier to a product catalogue. It was informed by years of experience with the technology, with the people behind it and with the challenges organisations face when introducing or changing business telephone systems.
FVC Solutions is a newly established business, but its founders have extensive careers in technology and technical delivery. That combination of experience and a new business approach helps explain both the choice of NFON and the way FVC Solutions intends to work with customers.
A product that made an immediate impression
FVC Solutions' Managing Director, Christophe Mailhe, first encountered NFON's cloud telephone system in 2015, before joining NFON UK the following year.
At the time, Christophe had experience of managing business telephony in demanding operational environments, where he had worked with a range of primarily on-premises telephone systems, including BT Meridian, Cisco Call Manager Express and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM). What stood out to him about NFON was the relative simplicity of its core configuration and administration.
"The first time I saw NFON's platform in 2015, I immediately thought how much easier it could have made my life when I was responsible for a business telephone system. What impressed me was the simplicity. I could understand the core system very quickly, without the complexity I was used to with other platforms. That experience stayed with me, and it is one of the reasons I wanted NFON to be part of what we build at FVC Solutions."

NFON's portfolio has evolved considerably since those early encounters. Its core business telephony platform remains relatively straightforward to configure for many common requirements, while more sophisticated capabilities and additions naturally require deeper expertise. For FVC Solutions, the important point is not that every customer requirement is simple. It is that technology should make the customer's operations more manageable rather than introduce unnecessary complexity.
Experience across the full customer journey
Christophe joined NFON UK as UK Technical Director in 2016, when the UK organisation was a small team of fewer than 15 people. He led the UK support and technical consultancy teams and acted as the UK contact for the wider group's product organisation.
The role extended far beyond a single technical discipline. It included pre-sales and post-sales work, helping with implementations and complex situations, operational processes, service-level documentation and tender responses. In later years, Christophe also led training and documentation work across the NFON group, using that practical experience to help partners understand and work with the platform.
This perspective matters because deploying a telephone system is not just about selecting features. It involves understanding how people communicate, how calls move through a business, which systems and processes are critical and what can realistically be supported over time.
The expertise within FVC Solutions is also complementary. Technical Director and co-founder Dragi Popovic brings a background in software and systems engineering, cloud-native platforms, VoIP, networking, infrastructure, architecture and technical delivery. Together, the founders have worked on the engineering and operational side of solutions that others were responsible for selling.
Start with the problem, not the feature list
Businesses often begin researching a new telephone system because they are concerned about cost. But price alone rarely captures the full reason for a change. Poor support, an inflexible existing service or operational requirements that a current system cannot meet may all be more significant.
FVC Solutions intends to start with a different set of questions: What does the organisation do? How do its people work? What is not working today? What outcome would make a meaningful difference?
There may be a better way to achieve an outcome than reproducing a familiar feature from an older telephone system. Sometimes a customer needs education about alternative ways of handling calls or organising communications. Sometimes a requested capability needs more investigation before anyone can say whether it is achievable. And sometimes a proposed solution simply is not the right fit.
FVC Solutions believes that being clear about those limits is better than promising features or outcomes it cannot deliver. That independence also means being prepared to recommend a different approach when NFON is not the appropriate answer.
Straightforward communication, even when a project is not
Changing telephone systems affects a business. Number transfers, connectivity, equipment, user preparation and the timing of a change can all introduce dependencies and disruption. It would be misleading to suggest that any migration is entirely without risk.
FVC Solutions' approach is to explain those considerations openly, plan carefully and seek to minimise disruption rather than pretend it cannot happen.
The same principle applies after implementation. Some issues result from configuration or how a service is being used; others arise from a genuine product or platform problem. Either way, a useful support relationship involves understanding what is happening, communicating honestly and exploring practical ways of helping the customer continue to operate. It should not become an exercise in simply attributing every problem to a supplier.
A genuine working relationship

Through the relationship, FVC Solutions can help businesses assess relevant NFON options, including cloud telephony, SIP trunking and Microsoft Teams calling, where those solutions meet the customer's needs. Not every available NFON product is automatically an active FVC Solutions offering.
The longer-term ambition is a productive partnership grounded in realistic commitments, informed technical conversations and well-supported customer outcomes.
"We're delighted to welcome Christophe, and FVC Solutions, back to NFON as a Partner and we're looking forward to developing a successful business relationship. He and his team bring a wealth of technical experience, coupled with a deep product knowledge that will be invaluable to his customers."
