Why we’re attending UCX

UCX is a useful opportunity to see a broad range of technologies, suppliers and ideas in one place. We are attending to understand what is new and emerging, but also to look beyond launches and demonstrations and assess what is likely to deliver practical value in real operating environments.

That means looking at how solutions are implemented, how well they integrate with existing systems, how resilient and supportable they are, and whether the benefits justify the cost and complexity. We are also looking forward to catching up with existing partners and meeting new suppliers and potential partners where there is a genuine fit with the FVC Solutions proposition.

What we’ll be looking at

Unified communications & business telephony

UC, UCaaS, calling, mobility and how business communications are evolving across office, remote and mobile working.

Connectivity & network foundations

Connectivity, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and the infrastructure that communications and cloud services depend on.

Customer experience

Contact handling, customer communications and tools that can improve service without adding unnecessary complexity.

AI & automation

Practical AI and automation capabilities, with attention to reliability, control and genuine operational value.

Integration

Microsoft 365, Teams, CRM, line-of-business systems and how different platforms connect in practice.

Operations & resilience

Deployment, administration, monitoring, supportability, dependencies and what happens when something fails.

What matters when we assess technology

We are interested in more than features and demonstrations. When we assess technology, we want to understand:

What real business problem does it solve?

How well does it integrate with existing systems?

What does implementation actually involve?

How resilient and supportable is it in day-to-day operation?

Where do responsibilities sit between the customer, FVC Solutions and the supplier?

Does the value justify the cost and complexity, or would a simpler option work better?

Existing partners and suppliers

We have already partnered with NFON, IP Cortex, Snom, Yealink and TP-Link. UCX gives us an opportunity to continue developing those relationships and see how their technologies and propositions are evolving.

We are particularly looking forward to seeing what devices and services Yealink and TP-Link will be showing at the expo.

Expanding our network

We are also interested in meeting new suppliers and potential partners where there is a genuine fit with the FVC Solutions proposition.

We are not looking to expand the portfolio for its own sake. Any new relationship needs to add something useful, supportable and commercially sensible for our customers, and fit with the way we advise, implement and support technology.
